5 Points 5K Race
Start/finish areas are located across the street from the UF&Shands Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute in the parking lot of the Phillips Center for Performing Arts on the University of Florida’s campus at Hull Road and SW 34th Street.
Course Map
The 5K route stays on the UF campus taking runners on Mowry Road, down Gale Lemerand Drive, past Fraternity Row and winds scenically by Lake Alice, the Baughman Center, and the renowned Bat House ending at the Five Points of Life Marathon start/finish area.
Packet Pickup
Packets will contain your race number, sponsor goodies and your t-shirt. They can be picked up on Friday, February 17 at LifeSouth Community Blood Centers at 4039 Newberry Road, Gainesville, FL 32607 between 4 and 7 p.m. Packets can also be picked up at the finish area on race day beginning at 7 a.m. Race day registration will be accepted for the 5K and Kids Marathon only
Timing
This year’s timing will be handled by DRC Sports out of Inverness, Florida. We’re excited to have DRC Sports as our Race Weekend timing company.
Awards & Age Groups
Overall finisher, age groups and master awards will be given out immediately following the race at the start/finish area. Drinks and snacks will also be provided after the race.
Overall finisher awards will be given to the top three finishers for each gender. Age group awards will be dispersed to the top three finishers of each gender in the following age groups:
- 10 and under
- 11-15
- 16-19
- 20-24
- 25-29
- 30-34
- 35-39
- 40-44
- 45-49
- 50-54
- 55-59
- 60-64
- 65-69
- 70 +

Course Support
We’ll have two hydration stops with water along the course. The main medical tent at the start/finish area will also be there to assist you at the beginning and end of the race.
